This is a list of wineries in South Africa arranged by wine region. A winery is a building or property that produces wine, or a business involved in the production of wine, such as a wine company. Some wine companies own many wineries. Besides wine making equipment, larger wineries may also feature warehouses, bottling lines, laboratories, and large expanses of tanks known as tank farms.

Wine producing regions in South Africa include: Barrydale, Breedekloof, Breede River Valley, Cape Point, Calitzdorp, Constantia, Darling, Durbanville, Elgin, Elim, Franschhoek, Ladismith, Little Karoo, Montagu, Orange River Valley, Oudtshoorn, Paarl, Robertson, Stellenbosch, Swartland, Swellendam, Tulbagh, Tygerberg, Wellington and Worcester.

The Western Cape is then a part of South Africa that you need to include as part of your plans. You will be very pleased you did. Highly developed wine growing areas are in the Northern Cape all along the Orange River known as the Hartswater region north of Kimberley. Kwazulu Natal first ever wine of origin was released by Stables Wine Estate in July 2006!

This an interesting area for Wine lovers and tourists to explore the Nottingham Road of Kwazulu, the Stables Wine Estate. Grape Crushing Festival, Hiking and much more for you to enjoy. There is at Nottingham Road the famous luxury hotel Rawdons set in over 200 acres of beautiful grounds where my wife and I stayed on many occasions. You will love it!
