Sossusvlei Namibia

Sossusvlei Namibia

Sossusvlei is located in the Namib Naukluft National park. Known for its red dunes, visitors flock from around the world to experience the natural beauty With many of the dunes reaching 400 meters in size, they are among some of the most fascinating in the world. Literally known as, “Dead End Marash” Sossusvlei, the dunes prevent the Tsauchach River from entering into the area. The result is the outskirts of the Namib Desert. However, being a desert climate doesn’t mean there isn’t any wildlife. Here, you will find plenty of exotic animals like the leopard and the zebra. During the rainy season, the area experiences a buildup of water and creates a glassy reflection in the dunes. When water levels hit their peak, photographers will swarm and capture pictures that are truly one of a kind. Of course, there are other things to do in this area beyond photography. For example, there are also a number of attractions in Sossusvlei.
