Must-See Places and Other Attractions
The Cape St. Francis Lighthouse or Seal Point Lighthouse is one of the resort’s must-sees. The lighthouse was built in 1878 to provide warnings about the reefs, sending a signal that’s visible nearly a kilometer into the sea. Nowadays, it’s the tallest masonry lighthouse in the country. It rises 27.75 meters above the ground. The lighthouse is currently open for tourist visits and exploration.

A seabird rehabilitation center and an African penguin rescue center are located in the Seal Point Lighthouse. You can participate in one of the “Behind the Scene” tours to learn more about the rare species and how you can help.

If you prefer a very active holiday, Cape St. Francis and the surrounding area will be ideal for you. Five natural reserves are located close to the village and they feature the perfect opportunities for hiking and walking across the virgin coastline.
